"We came here from another auto shop because so many people were commending Jay for his honesty and great customer service. And I have to say, we were not disappointed. Jay and the other mechanic that work here (Richard) are both honest, transparent, and will 100% fix your car without sabotaging it or trying to find fake problems to charge you more. Jay really knows his cars and even gave us recommendations on which cars were the best, which would last the longest and so on. We always trust Pro Automotive to get the job done! Seriously, if you need a mechanic and want to support a small business this is the place. Edit: We moved an hour away from Sachse a few months ago, but still take our vehicles to Pro Automotive because Jay and Richard are the only mechanics we trust. My husband recently got a new truck, and the "check engine" light came on right as we were driving it home from the dealership. We refused to bring it back to the dealership to get it fixed for free despite Jay recommending that, and had it brought to Pro Automotive. Jay fixed it up and it's running smoothly again. Worth our money to know that the job would be done right."

"Jay is a trust worthy person. He didn't try to put parts on my car that I didn't need."

"One of our friend's son tried to start his honda crv, and it wouldn't start. It was in the parking lot where Pro Automotive is also located. There are also two other mechanics in that parking lot. We went to them first. They all said things like the starter has probably gone out and it would cost hundreds. Jay came over to look at it the next day, only for us to find out there was a problem with the key. He didn't charge us anything and showed us how to bypass the system to recognize the key until we could replace the key with a new one. Now we use him for oil changes and all of our car services."

"Brought my Miata here to have the starter replaced. They got it done within 15% of the original sight unseen estimate and I've been driving around all afternoon having a blast. I've owned the car for two years while the starter slowly died and would have done this two years ago if I had known it would fix all the weird slow start problems. "I inherited a 2005 Dodge Ram pickup when my Dad passed away. The truck had very low mileage and still had some good years left in her. I looked on Yelp for a dependable mechanic to do a bumper to bumper inspection. Dad couldn't do much maintenance on the truck so I knew it needed a lot. Jay went over it with a fine tooth comb. He was thorough and told me what needed to be done now and what could wait. He explained every thing he was going to do and gave me a very fair estimate. The work was done quickly and the truck runs great now. Jay gave me a ride home and picked me up when the truck was ready. Great service from and a kind and honest man! "Worth the drive! My A/C went out a few years ago. I decided NOT to get it fixed due to the 1k+ price tag and the fact that I was living in Washington state at the time. After all, the temperatures don't soar above 95 degrees for any stretch of time in the Pacific Northwest. Unfortunately I moved to Texas recently, and I was forced to spend the time and money to get the A/C functioning again or face a miserable summer drenched in sweat. Another Yelper had raved about Pro Automative, so I decided to make the long drive out of town to get a price estimate. I had already checked with a few shops in town, and I found Jay's estimate fair. He did a thorough check of the system; and consequently, he could give me an accurate run down of the labor and parts for the job. I scheduled the appointment for the next week on Monday. He was able to knock it out the same day. I arrived in the morning. Rather than sitting in their office all day, he gave me a ride to the library where I could lounge in comfort, use the free Wifi and take advantage of the magazines and books to read. When the car was ready, he picked me up in it. This allowed me to feel the power of the A/C working again. It's a month later, and my car A/C is still keeping me cool on these hot Texas days. Jay offers professional, honest, and efficient service. I would definitely go back to him for my car needs as well as recommend his shop to others."
